FORT LAUDERDALE, January 14, 2010 –The cruise line industry is eager to help the people of Haiti. The Cruise Lines International Association and its members cruise lines, working closely with the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association, are currently exploring how they can most effectively assist in response to the Haitian earthquake disaster. This involves discussions with the U.S. government and relief organizations. While the cruise industry's response will continue to evolve, one of our member lines has already offered to deliver aid from our broader industry through its ships scheduled to call on its private port in Labadee, Haiti.
